FOCUS FOR THE YEAR:

WATCHFUL WAITING:

ETHICAL SELF-CARE IN A BIOMEDICAL WORLD

Healthcare systems are experiencing extended periods of delayed access, commonly referred to as “watchful waiting.”

WATCHFUL WAITING is where:

* Appointments are unavailable. Access to Care is the big challenge.

* Individuals and families are often told to “wait and see” without guidance on    how to care for themselves responsibly or how to determine when waiting

   should end.

* Symptoms may be dismissed

* The system stalls

* Anxiety rises

* Self-trust collapses

This is not a fringe problem. It is now a mainstream lived experience.

Most people have never been taught how to navigate this phase safely — even when clinical intervention is not immediately required.

At Golden Apple Healing Arts Self-care Institute,

we are not teaching people to replace medicine.

We are an Advanced Practice Nurse-led institution

that will teach you how to care intelligently, ethically,

and safely while waiting — and how to know when not to wait.

Join Dr. Martha Libster, APRN and guests each month!
