The Nurse-Herbalist – Format: Webinars and Guided Self-Study (watch youtube) The Nurse-Herbalist course will “root” your love of plant remedies deeply within nursing scope of practice. This course specifically addresses the legal, ethical and professional practice issues of licensed and practical nurses, Certified Nurse-Midwives, and Advanced Practice Nurses, who use herbs in the care and comfort of clients. The course provides step-by-step guidance in nurse-herbalist assessment, integration of the nursing process and the elements of nurses’ nature care and partnership with plants in the application of herbal remedies, a centuries-old healing tradition in nursing. In addition, you will learn how to utilize three simple models for nurse-herbalist practice and decode herbal scientific data for yourself and your clients. Case studies of the use of healing plants in nursing care provided in hospitals, clinics, home health and hospice agencies are provided to inspire the development of your practice plan.
